RENEWED 5 Craftsman USA Bench Vise Swivel Base Anvil 506-51810 (5181L) c. 1960s

In addition to superior construction that allows the 5-inch jaws to reliably open to 6 1/2 inches, it has super-cool Space Age lines that'll make your workbench look like a command center! This one has been cleaned and lubricated and works as it should. Appears to have been repainted at some point, but not by me, and that paint has some nice patina of age and wear.

There is a small bend in the handle for tightening the swivel base. Jaws have been worn mostly flat and may need to be re-cut or replaced depending on your needs, but they do close tightly and relatively evenly.

The central four inches of the jaws close flush, leaving less than a millimeter gap for about half an inch on either side. Comes with period-matching hard-rubber inserts that mount with magnets. Vise is heavy for its size, weighing 40.5 pounds on my scale.

Closed, it measures 14 inches long and 8 1/2 inches high.
