Prentiss 1 3/4 Jewelers Vise Vintage Vice Watchmaker Antique Swivel Base & Jaw

Prentiss 1 3/4 Antique Jewelers Vise with swivel base and articulating rear jaw. They don't come much better than this, and definitely not much smaller. This is the smallest I've ever seen to still be decked out with all the bells and whistles that Prentiss was capable of putting on a vise at the time. Condition is Used, but in excellent shape, especially given its age.

It operates as exactly as it did the day it was made; jaws are still perfectly square to each other, the cross hatching on the face of both the static and dynamic jaws shows that this little vise has seen very little hard use over its life; certainly not enough to damage any of that delicate cross hatching even the slightest bit. Jaws are 1 3/4" wide and will open up to around 2 1/2" before the bolt drops loose. The swivel base works perfectly and the rear jaw pivots to nearly any angle you could want once you pull the pin from it.

Just an altogether great little vise. I'm beginning to sell off some of my vises, and I've got some huge ones that I absolutely love, but this is the one I hate to see go the most, because it's so hard to come across another one like it.
