2 Wilton Baby Bullet Vise 1945 model with full swivel and raised anvil. This Wilton vise has been in my family for at least 70 years, maybe since new. Considering it was built in April, 1945 as shown by the key stamp, it's in great shape. Twenty years ago, I removed if from one of my father's workbenches after he passed away and stored it with some of my tools.

For some reason, he had painted all his bench vises red not long before; I remember this vise being a gray color which you can see a little in some spots. When I took it apart to inspect the main screw, it looked like it had never been disassembled to me. The main screw still had reasonably good grease and the main screw threads are in fantastic condition (see photo).

The only work I did was light cleaning with WD-40. I greased the main screw for reassembly and it works smoother than any vise I have.

This is indeed an early production "Baby Bullet" vise made in USA by Wilton. There is a definite following for these vintage vises online with additional details about them. There aren't many for sale with the full swivel base and raised anvil especially in this nice unrestored condition. It will be well-packed and fully insured.
