1953 Wilton 8450 / 9450 Vise. This is a somewhat rare Wilton Vise made in the Chicago factory before they moved to Schiller Park and long, long before they made anything in China. It is a 4-1/2 model. Everything is original and the vise operates very smoothley.

It was recently stripped of dirt, grease and old loose paint. It was then primed and painted. The color is Verde Green which is extremely close to the original color. Made in 1953, this thing is 67 years old.

It's by far from perfect. The top front of the moving jaw is pretty banged up, but overall it still looks pretty decent and should easily live to see it's 100 year birthday. Please look the pictures over very closely. They say much more about this vise than what I can write about it here. Please be aware that the crank handle (the large one that operates the vise) has a slight bend to it.
