Vintage EARLY 1941-42 WILTON Bullet Vise No. 3 CHICAGO w/ Swivel BaseVery Nice! VERY NICE vintage Wilton bullet vise with swivel base... Made by the Wilton Tool Corporation in Chicago IL. Research suggests that it is the earlier version that dates to early WWII (from 1941).
The earlier two versions versions of vises will have Wilton Tool Corp on the right side with a line that loops underneath from the first to last letters. The left side will say Wilton Vise No. 3 (or 4) that coincides with the jaw width. The right side logo on one version will also have the line looping from the first to last letters, but will have PAT Pend Made in USA in the middle of the bottom of the loop. Some gray paint remains suggesting that it had a military background. Excellent piece of equipment for a blacksmith, mechanic, machinist, or metal fabricator. Unusual to find an early one that looks this good! All parts are working and moving freely. Minimal signs of age and use... Markings are clear and easy to read.
Jaw inserts are in good condition. Please feel free to ask for additional information or photos. We welcome and will personally respond to all reasonable offers... Please note that this package will weigh OVER 22 POUNDS when it is packed carefully to avoid damage....
