VINTAGE 1947 WILTON BABY BULLET VISE - 3 JAWS.. They made 2" and 2 1/2" jaws and lighter models that are true "BABY" Wiltons. This could be a "Jumbo Baby" weighing in a just over 18 pounds 14ozs.
BUT the prefect size for your workbench without overtaking it!! Next: It has been cleaned of surface rust and does not have original painted finish. Has be oiled and is fully functioning with all original parts. Dated: 9-47 meaning Sept of 1947. See all pics and enlarge them - zoom in...
Pics are part of the description... NOTE: all one time the swivel base was tack welded in 3 spots. Near the holes off to the side of each mount hole flange. The mount flanges were never crack and then repaired. Again, it was tack welded near the flanges, never a crack flange repair.
I did file the welds down to match the swivel base contour. The old tack welds were done correctly and does not hurt the integrity of the base. The jaws are original and show normal use.
Opens to almost 5 inches before the screw loses tightness. A solid Bullet small bullet vise. This is clean and ready for another 80 years of service.
